Installation Engineers, Project Engineers and Project Managers

ESP is searching for Installation Engineers, Project Engineers and Project Managers located in Houston, TX. These will be a full time staff position with excellent salary/bonus potential, benefits and growth opportunity.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Installation Engineer provides engineering and technical expertise to the project team, supporting more senior engineers or managers. The requirement is to produce detailed engineering to execute project work while managing aspects of the work and team as agreed with the Project Management team. Work may include supporting studies and tenders as well as live projects. Senior Engineers may be technical specialists within a specific discipline and support the knowledge management and technology initiatives relating to the discipline.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Engineering assistance and support during mobilizations and occasional periods of offshore working in support of pipelay and trenching operations; Define installation sequence; All engineering associated with loadout and installation activities; Prepare installation method statements, procedures and analyses; Design and specify installation aids, initiation/termination rigging etc; Specify and source equipment in consultation with the equipment group (tensioner pads, clamp pads etc); Design and engineer vessel/equipment modifications for Projects or CAPEX improvements, support installation of this equipment; Provide input to support project risk assessments, HIRA's etc.

OTHER KEY DUTIES
Provides specialist skills, integrity and knowledge in SURF engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements and current good engineering practice; Understands clients' needs; identifies and addresses design parameters and problems; develops and implements solutions; Develop/recommend/evaluate the offshore construction methodology using appropriate procedures and standards; Under limited supervision, independently evaluates, organizes and prioritizes work; Undertakes responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to the Design Office, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various 3rd-party submissions; Signs and issues technical documentation as originator or checker, accepting personal responsibility for its adequacy; May direct small teams; May agree and monitor performance objectives with direct reports. Where necessary provide day to day guidance and coaching; Ensures all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed; Represents the Company in meetings/correspondence with Clients, Subcontractors, 3rd Parties etc., in a technical capacity; Trains / mentors more junior engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineering Degree or Equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in the offshore Engineering industry.
  • US work authorization required


LOCATION
Houston, Texas with regular trips to worksites onshore and offshore as appropriate
