Istranca-1 Proves Turkish Gas
Type: New Discovery
Oct. 2012 - TPAO announced the Istanca-1 exploration well encountered natural gas at a depth of 11,975 feet in Middle Miocene sandstones. Drilling was done by the GSP Jupiter (300' ILC) in block 3920 of the Turkish Black Sea. Water depth at the location is 278 feet.
