ENGINEERING MANAGER ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Engineering Manager is responsible for providing and managing engineering support services for all activities for the Mexico Region.

GENERIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Manage and provide leadership to the Region's engineering group, which includes engineers, designers, draftsmen, and other administrative support functions.  Timely and adequately provide qualified engineering support services.  Monitor and measure the engineering group's performance and make appropriate adjustments.  Report monthly to the Region's Technical Director on budget to actual results (year to date and forecast) on the engineering group's performance including engineering resource schedule, safety matters, fixed costs, hours worked, hours billed to internal and external customers and ancillary matters.  Establish and maintain a pro-active positive working environment which stimulates teamwork; value-engineering; creative, innovative and cost effective solutions.  Identify future engineering resource requirements and attract, hire, retain and motivate qualified engineers to fill these resource groups.  Participate in Company, industry and related ancillary meetings including trade shows, seminars, etc.  Coordinate the engineering group's participation in the Region's commercial strategy including, tendering support and business development/sales/marketing support.  Identify and contribute towards the continuous professional development of the engineering group. Close involvement with the GEDS and EDS programs.  Coordinate administrative activities related to the engineering group.  Support the Group's efforts to present and implement the Group's mission, vision, values and goals.  As a member of the Region's senior management team, support and assist in the accomplishment of the Region's objectives and provide advice and counsel, on a solicited and unsolicited basis.

EUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor Degree in an Engineering or Marine Discipline


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
7 years experience performing an Engineering Manager role with job responsibilities as outlined above

LOCATION
Carmen, Mexico.  Occasional international travel is required.  Temporary offshore assignments are also a possibility.
