DONG Energy serves as the operator of Siri and wholly owns the field.

The Siri area produces roughly 15 MMbopd and has a life expectancy of 17 years.

Siri

Siri is located on Block 5604/20 in the northwestern part of the Danish sector of the North Sea. Siri is the main field of the area and hosts a jackup platform that is the central processing and offloading facility in the area. The Siri platform is moored in 197 feet (60 meters) of water and is a combined wellhead, processing and accommodation facility. The processing facilities consist of a plant that separates the hydrocarbons produced and a plant for processing the water produced.

Oil is stored in a tank on the seabed at the base of the platform prior to being offloaded to tankers for export; the associated gas is re-injected into the Siri field to improve total oil recovery.

Siri was discovered in November 1995 and a year later, an appraisal well spud in August 1996. The two wells proved to be commercially viable and a fast-track field development was established in February 1996. After additional development work was performed on the field, the EPCI contract was signed with Kvaerner Oil and Gas at the end of March 1997. The field's storage tank was installed in May 1998, and the Noble George jackup began drilling production wells shortly after. Siri commenced production in 1999, produces roughly 17 Mbopd and is expected to produce until 2016.

Nini

Discovered in the summer of 2000, the Nini field came online three years later. The field produces to an unmanned wellhead platform, Nini, which is then tied-back to the Siri platform for further exportation. The gas produced at Nini is injected into the Siri field together with injected water, and Siri supplies Nini with injection water and gas lift.

The Ensco 70 drilling rig was leased to drill the production wells on the Nini field; by March 2004, two production wells and two water injection wells were drilled on the field.

Dong, operator, holds a 40% interest in Nini; Denerco Oil holds 30%; and RWE Dea holds 30%.

Cecilie

The Cecilie field, discovered in 2000, consists of one well tied-back to an unmanned wellhead platform, Cecilie, which is then tied-back to the Siri platform by three pipelines. The field commenced production in 2003 and produces roughly 7 Mbopd.

Within the Cecilie field, a satellite field, Connie, is tied-back to the Cecilie platform. The satellite field has one production well connected to the platform. Connie commenced production in 2004.

Dong operates Cecilie, which holds a 22% interest; Denerco Oil holds 37%; Denerco Petroleum holds 24%; and RWE Dea holds the remaining 17% interest.

Stine

Situated near the Siri field, the Stine field consists of two areas, Segment 1 and Segment 2. The Stine Segment 1 field consists of a production well and an injection well, located roughly 6 miles (9 kilometers) east of the Siri platform, and it came online in 2004. The Stine Segment 2 consists of one production well tied-back to the Siri platform, situated 1 mile (2 kilometers) from the field, and is reached by horizontal drilling from the platform. Stine Segment 2 commenced production in 2003.

Nini East

Close by the Nini field, Nini East was discovered in 2001 and was appraised in 2007. Sanctioned for development in January 2008, Nini East was developed by a 10-slot unmanned wellhead platform, which sends the oil to the Siri platform for further treatment and shipping.

Located in license 4/95, Dong Energy operates the field, holding a 40% interest; RWE Dea holds 30%; and Noreco holds the remaining 30% interest.

Ramboll Chosen to Solve Siri Subsea Problem
Type: Status Update

Jan. 2010 - Dong Energy awarded a contract to Ramboll for the design of a permanent reinforcement solution for the cracks in Siri's subsea structure. The permanent solution consists of installing 1 to 2 piles next to the Siri subsea storage tank and connecting them to the caisson with large clamps. In August 2009, a routine inspection found cracks in a subsea structure that is connected to the oil storage tank underneath the Siri platform. A temporary solution was created, allowing for production to resume, until a permanent solution could be effected. Ramboll will carry out the detailed design for this solution, and the company will act as an engineering subcontractor for Acergy, the EPCI contractor on the project. Permanent repairs are scheduled for completion in the second half of 2010. Siri is located on Block 5604/20 in the northwestern part of the Danish sector of the North Sea. DONG Energy serves as the operator of Siri and holds a 50% interest; Talisman holds 30%; and Altinex holds the remaining 20% interest.

Dong Energy Resumes Production at Siri
Type: Status Update

Jan. 2010 - Production has resumed from the Siri field after it was halted in October 2009, following a routine inspection that found cracks in a subsea structure connected to the oil storage tank underneath the Siri platform. A temporary solution, comprised of a metal frame to support the subsea structure, has been enacted to allow production to resume. Permanent repairs are scheduled for completion in the second half of 2010. With the temporary solution in place, production from Siri's adjacent fields, Nini, Cecilie and Stine, will also recommence. The Siri area, located on the Danish Continental Shelf close to the Norwegian border, produces roughly 15 MMbopd and has a life expectancy of 17 years. DONG Energy serves as the operator of Siri and holds a 50% interest; Talisman holds 30%; and Altinex holds the remaining 20% interest.

Dong Announces Production from Siri Set to Resume in January
Type: Status Update

Jan. 2010 - Dong expects production from the Siri field to resume sometime in January 2010. Production was halted on Aug. 31, 2009, when a routine inspection found cracks in a subsea structure connected to the oil storage tank underneath the Siri platform. A temporary solution was utilized so that production could resume. Specifically, a metal frame was employed to support the subsea structure until a permanent solution was put into place to ensure the stability of its construction. Installation of the temporary solution is progressing, but rough weather conditions in the Danish sector of the North Sea have delayed the installation of the metal frame on the sea bed. The operator plans to complete the installation work and to resume production in early 2010. The Siri field is located roughly 155 miles (250 kilometers) northwest of Esbjerg on the west coast of Denmark. DONG Energy serves as the operator of Siri, holding a 50% interest; Talisman holds 30%; and Altinex holds the remaining 20% interest.

DONG Develops Temporary Production Solution at Siri
Type: Status Update

Oct. 2009 - On August 31, 2009, following a routine inspection revealing cracks in a subsea structure connected to the oil storage tank underneath the Siri platform, DONG Energy decided to stop production from the Siri field. The structure carries the load of the caisson containing risers and conductors to and from the subsea storage tank. The cracks developed due to failure of the grouting material designed to fix the caisson. No discharge of oil or other pollution has been detected as a result of the cracks. With the temporary solution production is expected to be resumed during November 2009, depending on the uncertainty regarding weather conditions, the processing time involved in connection with third-party verification of the temporary solution and regulatory approvals, among other factors.

DONG Takes Cracked Siri Platform Off Stream
Type: Status Update

Sep. 2009 - DONG shut in its Danish Siri field and two associated fields, reports Dow Jones. According to the operator, cracks were identified in part of the Siri production platform. During routine maintenance, DONG discovered the cracks in a small tank attached to the Siri platform's 50,000 cubic-meter subsea oil storage tank, the report noted. Dow Jones also reported that no estimate was given for how long the Siri field's production will be halted. Siri pumped 1.91 million barrels of oil equivalent in 2008. DONG operates the Siri field, which is situated on the Danish continental shelf, with a 50% stake.
