| Santos Declares First Oil from Fletcher Finucane |
Date: May. 2013
Type: Production Start |
| Santos announced the start of oil production from the Fletcher Finucane development in the Carnarvon Basin offshore Western Australia. The $490-million project was sanctioned in January 2012 and was completed ahead of time and on budget. Fletcher Finucane consists of three subsea wells tied back to the Santos-operated Mutineer Exeter floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel. The three wells are expected to produce at a rate of 15,000 bopd through the first 12 months of production. Addition of the tie-back will help extend the economic life of Mutineer Exeter. |

| Santos Disconnects Mutineer-Exeter's FPSO to Avoid Tropical Storm |
Date: Mar. 2012
Type: Status Update |
| Santos has shut-down production at its Mutineer-Exeter oil field due to the approaching Severe Tropical Cyclone Lua. Mutineer-Exeter's floating production storage and offloading vessel was disconnected March 15 and has been sailing to avoid the cyclone since then, a Santos spokesman said in a statement. |

| Subsea 7 to Supply SURF Equipment for Fletcher, Finucane Development |
Date: Jan. 2012
Type: Subsea Equipment |
| Santos granted Subsea 7 a US $60 million SURF contract for the Fletcher-Finucane development offshore Western Australia. The contract involves project management, engineering and installation of about 34 miles (55 kilometers) of flexible flowlines, more than 37 miles (60 kilometers) of umbilicals and associated structures to connect the wells to the existing Mutineer Exeter facilities. The contract also includes pre-commissioning activities and other associated services. Project management and engineering will begin immediately with offshore operations scheduled to commence late 2012. |

| Santos Sanctions Fletcher Finucane Oil Development |
Date: Jan. 2012
Type: Development Activity |
| Santos has sanctioned the $490 million Fletcher Finucane oil project in the Carnarvon Basin, offshore Western Australia. The project will be developed through a three-well subsea tie-back to the existing FPSO at Mutineer Exeter. First oil is slated for the second half of 2013 at an estimated average production of 15,000 bopd for the first 12 months. |

| Santos Mulling over Finucane South Development |
Date: Aug. 2011
Type: Status Update |
| Santos Limited expects to make a Final Investment Decision of the Finucane South discovery before the end of the 2011 with the potential for the first production before the end of 2013. The likely development concept for Finucane South is a tie-back to the Mutineer facility. The Finucane South-1A well is located in permit WA-191-P, in the northern end of the Carnarvon Basin. Santos operates permit WA-191-P with a 33.4% interest; Kufpec Australia holds 33.4%; JX Nippon Oil & Gas holds 25%; and Tap Oil holds 8.2%. |

| Santos Finds More Oil in Finucane South |
Date: Jun. 2011
Type: Appraisal Operations |
| Santos Limited has found additional oil in the Finucane South-1A exploratory well, offshore Carnarvon Basin, Western Australia. Logs have confirmed the well encountered 61 feet (18.5 meters) of excellent quality net oil pay in the Late Jurassic Angel formation. The interpretation is based on both logging while drilling and wireline logs, including pressure testing and sampling over the targeted interval. Early evaluation indicates the discovery could exceed the pre-drill mean estimate of 8 million barrels, said the operator. |

| Santos Hits Oil Pay in Finucane South |
Date: May. 2011
Type: New Discovery |
| Santos has found oil at the Finucane South prospect in the Carnarvon Basin, offshore Western Australia. Gathered data has confirmed a net oil column of 59 feet (18 meters) in excellent quality reservoir sands in the Angel formation. The well, drilled by the Stena Clyde semisub, is located nearly 4 miles (7 kilometers) from the Fletcher oil field discovered in 2009 and about 9 miles (14 kilometers) from existing oil production facilities at Mutineer Exeter. Santos said engineering studies for a dual field development of the Finucane South and Fletcher discoveries are well advanced, and the consortium are in a position to make a final investment decision before the end of 2011. Several development options have been considered, including a subsea tie-back to the Santos operated floating, production, storage and offloading facility servicing Mutineer Exeter. If this development option is picked, the fields could reach first oil production by the end of 2013. Santos operates permit WA-191-P with a 33.4% interest; Kufpec Australia holds 33.4%; JX Nippon Oil & Gas holds 25%; and Tap Oil holds 8.2%. |

| Santos Spuds Finucane South Prospect |
Date: May. 2011
Type: Drilling Operations |
| Santos spudded the Finucane South-1 exploration well offshore Carnarvon Basin, Western Australia, using the Stena Clyde semisub. Drilling should take about 20 to 25 days to reach a final depth of nearly 11,483 feet (3,500 meters). Upon completion of evaluation, the well will be plugged and abandoned. Finucane South-1 is being drilled to identify additional resources to supplement the discovered resources contained in the adjacent Fletcher Field. Finucane South is located in a water depth of about 459 feet (140 meters) in WA-191-P, which is situated at the northern end of the Carnarvon Basin about 9 miles (15 kilometers) east of the Mutineer facility. Serving as operator of the permit is Santos, holding a 33.4% interest; Kufpec Australia holds 33.4%; Nippon Oil holds 25%; and Tap holds 8.2%.

| Santos to Spud Finucane South-1 |
Date: Apr. 2011
Type: Status Update |
| Santos will drill the Finucane South-1 exploratory well using the Stena Clyde semisub immediately following the conclusion of rig operations on the Zola-1 well. The exploratory well will be drilled to potentially supplement the discovered resources contained in the adjacent Fletcher field. Tap, a partner in the permit, estimates Finucane South has a potential gross mean recoverable oil volume of 8 million barrels. The prospect is a moderate-sized structural closure mapped at the base of the Cretaceous regional seal. Drilling is expected to commence soon and it should take about 20 to 25 days to reach a final total depth of about 11,483 feet (3,500 meters). |
