An experienced Subsea Engineer is required to join a 5th Gen Semisub operating offshore Brazil.

The Subsea Engineer is the specialist on board a floating drilling vessel who assists the senior Subsea engineer in his duties.

Specialist on board a floating drilling Vessel who assists the Senior Subsea Engineer in his duties. Background is normally mechanical and/or hydraulic.
Normally has completed a recognized training program, in addition to attending the recommended courses.
Must be capable of fully understanding, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting all aspects of the BOP control system, including at least the basics of the electrical components.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or educational equivalent is preferred.
Certification from an accredited technical school, trade school, or institute in Fluid Power and/or Electronic Control Systems or practical experience in a job classification working with electro/hydraulic control systems is preferred.
Professional Experience:
Skills - Technical:
Minimum of 2 years time served as Subsea Enigneer on a MUX rig
Skills - Communication:
Bi-lingual is preferred (English, Spanish, French, Portuguese)
Verbal communication skills necessary.
Licenses, Certifications, Credentials, and Other Requirements:
Offshore survival and medical certificates as mandated by government regulations are required.
Certified in all required safety training programs, including but not limited to underwater safety, fire fighting, and helicopter underwater escape.
