Job Description
|
Key Responsibilities:
- Project management of third-party and inter-company fabrication projects including monitoring of projects with an emphasis on scope, delivery, cost, schedule and efficiency tracking
- Review Inspection reports
- Manage inspection activities
- ITP Review
- Manage project Interface/Resolution Register
- Review and interpret Fabrication Schedules
- Attending Contractor/Sub-Contractor Kick-off Meetings and Progress Meetings
- Fabrication Document Review (specifications, testing procedures, etc.)
- Direct completion of Fabrication Verification Interim and Final reports
- Progress reporting
- Budget estimation and forecasting
- Significant client contact
- Supervise, motivate and train graduate and project engineers
- Assist in resource planning, recruitment, selection and training of engineers
- Work with other staff disciplines such as design, materials, and support teams to complete work
- Prepare technical papers for conference
- Required Competencies and Experience:
- Seven (7) years miniumum experience in job offered, OR Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Marine Engineering and six (6) years experience in job offered
- Three (3) years Project Management experience of small to medium sized projects, preferred
- Subsea Equipment Fabrication experience a must (Riser/pipeline fabrication experience preferred)
- Knowledge of materials, welding, NDE methods, cathodic protection systems and coatings
- Familiarity with industry regulations (CFR), relevant codes and standards (API RP 2RD, ASME, API, etc.)
- Detail oriented
- Excellent technical report writing skills
- Good communication and multi-tasking skills
