| Subsea 7 Wins Aasta Hansteen Contract |

| Subsea 7's latest contract was awarded by Statoil for work to be conducted on the Aasta Hansteen field in Norwegian Production License 214. The contract, valued at $380 million, calls for the design, coating, fabrication and installation of 12 miles (19 kilometers) of rigid flowlines, along with the fabrication, coating and installation of four Steel Catenary Risers (SCRs). Work scope also includes the engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of rigid spools and monitoring systems for the SCRs. Project management and engineering are to commence immediately with offshore work to begin in 2015 and 2016. |

| CB&I Lands Aasta Hansteen Topsides Contract |

| Chicago Bridge & Iron received a $180 million contract from Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) concerning construction of Statoil's Aasta Hansteen platform topsides. CB&I's work scope includes detailed engineering design and procurement services. Early this year HHI was contracted by Statoil to handle the overall topsides construction project. When complete in 2016 the spar platform will the largest of its kind with the capacity to produce 812 million cubic feet of gas per day. |

| Aker Bags Another Aasta Hansteen Contract |

| Aker Solutions secured another contract related to Statoil's deepwater Aasta Hansteen development project. To satisfy the most recent contract Aker will supply a subsea production system consisting of three template/manifold structures, seven subsea trees, associated wellheads and controls, along with workover and tie-in systems. The $364.5 million-contract also includes unspecified options that Statoil may elect to exercise. First deliveries of the production system will take place in 1H 2015. At 4,264 feet Aasta Hansteen is the deepest subsea development in Norwegian waters to date. |

| HHI Secures Aasta Hansteen Topsides Build |

| In July of 2012 Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) received a contract to build the 640 foot hull for Statoil's Aasta Hansteen spar platform. To ring in the New Year, Statoil awarded another contract to HHI to build and install the topsides for the Aasta Hansteen spar. The value of the contract is reported at $1.1 billion. No indication was given as to when construction of the topsides would begin but installation at the field is planned for 2016. Once complete, the spar will have the capacity to process 812 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. There will be enough storage capacity in the hull to accommodate 160,000 barrels of gas condensate. The Aasta Hansteen spar will be the largest in the world and will be the first instance of spar being used on Norway's Continental Shelf. |

| Aasta Hansteen Partners Move Forward with Development |

| Partners in the Aasta Hansteen project have made the final investment decision and submitted the plan for development and operation (PDO) of the field to Norway's Ministry of Petroleum and Energy. Development of the field will be centered around the first spar platform on the Norwegian continental shelf. Boasting a total height of 656 feet and hull diameter of 164 feet, the facility will be largest in the world and the first to come equipped with condensate storage tanks. The platform will be moored to the seabed in 4,265 feet of water. Once production commences in 2017, processed gas will be transported to the onshore Nyhamna gas plant via the 298-mile Polarled gas pipeline which will be the deepest 36-inch gas pipeline ever installed. Development of Aasta Hansteen is estimated at $5.7 billion. |

| OMV Buys 15% of Aasta Hansteen Field from Exxon |

| OMV has agreed to buy a 15 percent stake in the Aasta Hansteen field from ExxonMobil. The field contains what OMV sees as three significant gas discoveries with expected recoverable net volumes between 40 and 60 million barrels of oil equivalent of gas and between 0.8 and one million barrels of oil equivalent of condensate in a water depth of approximately 4,265 feet (1,300 meters). The acquisition also includes a 6.15 percent stake in the Norwegian Sea Gas Infrastructure project, which will see OMV's overall stake in the project increase to 7.9 percent. |

| Technip Inks Aasta Hansteen Platform Deal |

| Statoil awarded Technip a letter of intent to construct a hull of a spar platform on the Aasta Hansteen field. The platform will be the world's largest Spar platform and the first of its kind on the Norwegian continental shelf. Total recoverable reserves for Aasta Hansteen, previously called Luva, are preliminary estimated at about 47 Bcm of gas and .8 Bcm of condensate. The platform, the first spar with storage capacity, will have the capability to store about 25,000 square cubic meters of condensate and export gas via the Norwegian Sea Gas infrastructure. The supplier will also design and prepare specifications for steel rigid risers and a complete mooring system. Part of the work will begin in the middle of August, with completion of deliveries set for mid-December 2015. This letter of intent will contribute to securing the overall progress plan for Aasta Hansteen. The investment decision is expected in late 2012/early 2013, with production start-up at the end of 2016. |

| CB&I to Provide FEED Services for Aasta Hansteen Project |

| Statoil awarded CB&I a contract for the provision of front-end engineering design (FEED) services for the Aasta Hansteen, formerly Luva, topsides project in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. The platform will process hydrocarbons from the field in a water depth of 4,265 feet (1,300 meters). The development concept consists of a spar platform tied to subsea templates. Processing on the topsides will consist of conventional gas dehydration and dew-pointing with condensate stabilization through heating and separation, designed for daily production rates of 23 MMcm/d. CB&I’s scope of work consists of the FEED package for the topsides which includes units for processing, utilities, 108-bed living quarters and flare, with a total dry weight of about 21,500 tonnes. FEED is scheduled for delivery by year-end. |

| Aker to Design World's Largest Spar Platform for Luva Development |

| Aker Solutions has received a FEED contract from Statoil to design the world's largest spar platform for the Aasta Hansteen (formerly Luva) field in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. With a total hull length of 633 feet (193 meters) and a draught of 558 feet (170 meters), the Aasta Hansteen spar platform is a cylinder shaped floating offshore installation. Aasta Hansteen will be the first spar platform on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS), and also the world's first Spar platform with condensate storage capacity - a so called belly-spar, stated Aker. The FEED study will be completed in the third quarter of 2012. The development concept will include two subsea templates with four wells on each and one satellite template with one well. The field is currently under development with first oil slated for 2014. |

| Statoil has selected a spar platform to develop the Luva field. Considered a deepwater pioneer in the Norwegian Sea, the Luva field may be the first to have a spar platform on the NCS. "This development may represent the start of deepwater production in the Norwegian Sea, and it will enable the tie-in of other discoveries in the same area," said Ivar Aasheim, Statoil's senior vice president for NCS field development. The spar platform will consist of a large-diameter, single vertical cylinder supporting a conventional deck with processing facility, accommodation quarters and other facilities. The installation will fix to the seabed. The development concept will include two subsea templates with four wells on each and one satellite template with one well. The platform will house accommodation quarters for a permanent crew, a storage unit for condensate, and a gas processing facility with a capacity of 812 MMcf/d. Gas will be exported through a 300-mile-long (483-kilometer-long), 30-36 inch diameter pipeline from the Luva field to the onshore processing facility at Nyhamna. The pipeline will also connect to the Linnorm field and tied-in to the Zidane field. |

| StatoilHydro Mulls Deepwater Luva Solutions |

| StatoilHydro is still considering how to best develop the Luva gas field, located on Blocks 6706/12, 6707/10, 186 miles (300 kilometers) from land in 4,265 feet (1,300 meters) of water in the Norwegian Sea. With the results of a feasibility study in hand, the licensees have decided to spend almost two years considering possible approaches to bringing the discovery on stream. Discovered in 1997, Luva, along with two other discoveries Hakland and Snefrid South, are estimated to contain recoverable gas reserves of 40 to 60 Bcm. Developing these finds is a challenge considering their distance from land, deep water depth and the rough weather conditions, states Stale Tungesvik, head of reserves and business development at StatoilHydro. Over the next several years, various development study contracts are scheduled to be placed. |

| The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has issued StatoilHydro ASA a drilling permit for wellbore 6706/12-1. Wellbore 6706/12-1 will be drilled by the Transocean Leader. StatoilHydro ASA is the operator with a 75% ownership interest, and the other partners are ExxonMobil Exploration & Production Norway AS with 15% and ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS with 10%.
