Shell Spuds Third Well off French Guiana
May 8, 2013 - Shell's exploration campaign off the coast of French Guiana continues with the recent spudding of well GM-ES-4 on the Cebus prospect in the Guyane Maritime Permit. Cebus is the third well in the four-well program. The well will test the hydrocarbon potential of a different fan system than that of the two previous wells that failed to find pay.

Priodontes-1 Comes Up Dry for Guyane Maritime Partners
Apr 23, 2013 - The partners in the Guyane Maritime Permit have elected to plug and abandon the Priodontes-1 well instead of drilling ahead for deeper targets as previously announced. Total depth was called at 20,728 feet without encountering hydrocarbons in the main reservoir target. Stena's DrillMax ICE (UDW drillship) will now sail to another location in the Cingulata fan system to drill the Cebus-1 well.
