Job Description

Swift Worldwide Resources is looking for a Subsea Commissioning professional to work a 8x2 rotation in Luanda, Angola.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Become an integral part of a diverse team of engineers, to deliver Subsea pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures.
  • Ensure self and other team members adhere to all HSSE policies onboard the FPSO, including the Permit to Work System that is enforced
  • Work in integrated team with multiple contractual and cultural interfaces to deliver the approved Subsea commissioning procedures
  • Interface with Topsides Team Leads outside of own team to co-ordinate/execute Sim-Ops
  • Co-ordinate with Installation Vessels and ROV operators to facilitate the progress of the commissioning procedures ensuring equipment is not adversely affected due to miscommunication
  • Interface with Technical leads (remotely located) to resolve issues as required
  • Initiate appropriate Management Of Change Processes when there is any change to approved work as planned, procedures or designs
  • Troubleshoot anomalies found during commissioning (Control, Electrical and Hydraulic), reporting to Lead as soon as practical
  • Become the delegated Subsea Lead for periods where the Subsea Lead is unavailable to fulfil commitments
  • Ensure team maintains a high level of quality during testing and result recording
  • Execute any other assigned duties by the Commissioning Lead as required to deliver the job


Background Profile:

  • Degree (or equivalent) qualification in a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Works with a one team approach
  • Positive approach to problem finding and solving
  • Able to articulate technical issues clearly to differing cultures and differing levels
  • Strong Drive to deliver test intent, overcoming obstacles with innovative methods while not compromising on HSSE or equipment integrity
  • Competent with Subsea Control Systems from similar installations
  • Familiar with Hydraulic tubing/fittings typical of a Subsea Hydraulic Distribution system
  • Familiar with Safe Systems of Work (permits, risk assessments, etc)
