Jun 6, 2013 - BC Petroleum's (BCP) pre-development drilling program is about to come to an end in the Balai Cluster RSC off Sarawak. The Ensco 53 (300' ILC) has drilled the Bentara-3 well to 9,983-feet total vertical depth and is now finalizing the completion of the well. Preliminary logging results indicate a net hydrocarbon pay of approximately 298 feet across 18 sandstone intervals. Upon completion, the rig will mobilize to Singapore and an Early Production Vessel (EPV) will move into the field to conduct extended well tests (EWT) on the five drilled pre-development wells. Once all EWTs are carried out, the data will be analyzed and the BCP partners will make a decision on the viability of the project. BCP shareholders include ROC (48%), Dialog Group (32%) and Petronas Carigali (20%).

Jun 5, 2013 - Hallin Marine received another contract for work to be completed in the Natuna gas development off the coast of Indonesia. The Ullswater subsea operations vessel will be used to assist with the laying of almost 13,800 feet of flexible pipelines and the installation of rigid risers. Hallin's job scope will include project management, engineering and saturation diving services along with ROV work and commissioning of the pipelines. Value of the contract is estimated at approximately $6 million.

May 24, 2013 - Otto Energy, operator of the Galoc oil field, is preparing for the upcoming development drilling program that is part of the Galoc Phase II development. Diamond Offshore's Ocean Patriot (mid-water semisub) is mobilizing to the field to drill the Galoc-5H and Galoc-6H wells in block SC14C. Both wells are expected to be drilled to 7,185-feet TVD with approximately 6,561-feet of horizontal completion. Once complete, each well will be tied-back to the Rubicon Intrepid FPSO. First oil is expected in 4Q 2013.
