Forties
May 31, 2013 - The topsides for Apache's Forties Alpha Satellite Platform (FASP) is complete and ready to sail to its location in the Forties field in the UK North Sea. British manufacturer OGN received the contract from Apache to build the topside module and the jacket in 2010. Installation of the jacket took place in September 2012. The satellite platform was designed with the capacity to produce up to 25,000 bopd. First oil is expected in late 2013. Currently, the field is producing an average of 57,000 bopd.

Western Isles
May 29, 2013 - Dana Petroleum and its partner, Cieco, recently participated in a keel laying ceremony for the $400-million floating, production and offloading (FPSO) vessel which will be used in the Western Isles development in the UK North Sea. The vessel is designed to displace 26,000 tons and will have a storage capacity of up to 400,000 barrels of oil. Maximum daily rate of production is expected to be 40,000 bopd. Delivery of the FPSO is scheduled to take place in late 2015 with production to follow soon after.
