The Hickory North prospect is situated in the Deepwater Tano/Cape Three Points license offshore Ghana. Hess operates the field with a 55 percent stake; Statoil holds 35 percent; and GNPC holds 10 percent.
Hess concluded drilling the Hickory North-1 well in June and the well encountered approximately 100 net feet (30 meters) of gas condensate pay. The Stena DrillMax (UDW drillship) drilled the well.
