Job Description
|
- Develop and design products and derivatives for similar or extended applications in the APP-Surface portfolio- this will include implementing design development or changes on production orders for parts or assemblies based on new requirements, enhanced concepts, test and manufacture lessons learned or service requirements
- Perform design calculations in accordance with API requirements, as well as improve existing calculation methods for products and components related to assigned tasks
- Determine and establish specifications through engineering calculations and layouts; prepare or follow up on preparation of required drawings and engineering changes; develop detailed material lists related to work assigned
- Provide Product Engineering support for subsea drilling products with manufacturing and field support groups
- Prepare test and assembly procedures and data packages
- Assist in the test of products and components, analyze and evaluate test results and develop test conclusion; provide technical support for the resolution of design issues to ensure manufacturability of the product
- Consult and coordinate activities with other departments to ensure product delivery in accordance with design requirements while maintaining project cost and schedule requirements
- Maintain engineering records and files for future availability in company database
- Must be able and willing to travel to such locations as the employer determines is necessary to desirable to meet its business needs
- 4 Years minimum industry experience
- Familiarity with API design requirements
