UK DECC Receives Fyne FDP
Type: Operator Update

Feb. 2013 - Antrim Energy submitted a draft Field Development Plan (FDP) relating to the Fyne Field to the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change. Front end engineering and design work for the subsea facilities and required modifications to the Hummingbird Spirit FPSO is underway. First oil from Fyne is expected for 4Q 2014 but is contingent upon the timing of the FPSO being redeployed from its current location serving the Chestnut Field. Antrim is the operator of Fyne and anticipates FDP approval by April 2013.

Antrim Inks FPSO Agreement for Fyne
Type: Operator Update

Nov. 2012 - A Heads of Terms agreement was signed between Antrim Energy and Hummingbird Production Limited, a subsidiary of Teekay Corporation, for an option to lease the Hummingbird Spirit FPSO for the development of the Fyne field in UK North Sea block 21/28a. The agreement will be subject to approval of a Field Development Plan which Antrim (operator) must submit to the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change no later than January 2013. First oil is tentatively expected in 4Q 2014 contingent upon timing of the redeployment of the FPSO from its current work location. Results from well 21/28a-11, drilled earlier this year, have increased Fyne 2P reserve estimates to 11.7 million barrels of oil.

Antrim Eying Fyne Development
Type: Development Activity

Jun. 2012 - Antrim Energy has been granted an extension for the submission of a Field Development Plan for the Fyne field in the UK sector of the North Sea. The UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) notified the operator that it has extended the deadline for submission of an FDP for the Fyne field from June 2012 to January 2013. Antrim also anticipates DECC approval of the transfer to Antrim of the working interests of the other two partners in the License, Premier Oil UK Limited and First Oil Expro Limited, as well as the transfer of operatorship to Antrim from Premier. Once DECC approves the transfers, Antrim will be operator and hold 100 percent working interest in the Fyne License. The license target date for first production remains in the fourth quarter of 2014. Antrim continues its work on the design of a small SPAR production facility to determine its suitability for Fyne and surrounding fields in the Greater Fyne Area. In parallel with this work, Antrim is seeking joint venture partners to participate in appraisal and development of the Greater Fyne Area discoveries, including West Teal in Block 21/24b (Antrim 100 percent).

Premier Halts Fyne Development

Mar. 2012 - Premier Oil has decided to not move forward with developing the Greater Fyne area in the North Sea due to disappointing appraisal drilling results earlier this year. The operator said the development does not meet its commercial threshold. Fyne was slated to commence production in 2014.

Premier, Antrim Abandon East Fyne Well
Type: Status Update

Feb. 2012 - Premier Oil has abandoned the East Fyne appraisal well in the UK sector of the North Sea. The well reached a total depth of 5,020 feet (1,530 meters) and encountered 11 feet (3 meters) of gas-bearing sand within the Upper Tay formation and eight feet (two meters) of oil-bearing sand within the Middle Main Tay formation. Premier said that because the thickness of the oil-bearing sand is at the lower end of the pre-drill estimate, the firms have decided to plug and abandon the well. The Sedco 704 (mid-water semisub) will now be moved to drill the Bluebell prospect on license P1466, UK Block 15/24c, also in the Central North Sea. Furthermore, the operator will use the Borgsten Dolphin (mid-water semisub) to complete existing production and water-injection wells on the Fyne field. First oil is expected during the third quarter of 2012.

Jul. 2011 - Premier Oil publicized that a development concept selection for Fyne is expected by year-end, after the East Fyne appraisal well is drilled. Fyne is located on Block 21/28a in the UK sector of the North Sea in 928 feet (283 meters).

Antrim Contracts Survey Vessel for its UK North Sea Drilling Program
Type: Status Update

Apr. 2011 - Antrim Energy has contracted the survey vessel Kommander Jack to obtain site surveys in preparation for the 2011 UK North Sea drilling program. Surveys will be obtained over the West Teal, Carra and Erne prospects, located in the Greater Fyne Area in Blocks 21/24b, 21/28b and 21/29d. According to Antrim, the West Teal and Carra surveys are expected to confirm the surface drilling locations for two wells targeting the Jurassic Fulmar and Eocene Tay formations, respectively. The Erne survey was added to the exploration program to identify a surface location for a contingent well on that feature, an oil prospect in the Eocene Tay formation. The site surveys should be completed in May in preparation for the exploratory drilling program scheduled to start mid-year 2011. The three prospects are wholly owned and operated by Antrim Energy.

Premier Farms-In to Greater Fyne Area
Type: Acreage Acquisition

Apr. 2011 - Premier Oil has elected to drill the East Fyne appraisal well in the UK sector of the North Sea. Under the terms of the agreement, Premier will have a 39.9% operated interest in Block 21/28a which contains the Fyne field. In return, Premier will carry the costs towards the development (up to US $50 million), including the East Fyne appraisal well. East Fyne is designed to de-risk the eastern extent of the Fyne field, and drilling is expected to start in the second half of 2011. Antrim will retain a 35.1% working interest in the block and a 100% working interest in adjacent Blocks 21/28b, 21/24b, and 21/29d. First Oil Expro Limited will hold the remaining 25% working interest in Block 21/28a. The license assignment and transfer of operatorship under the agreement is subject to partner and governmental approvals. The agreement also provides Premier with the option to participate in Antrim’s planned drilling program in the Greater Fyne area, which is scheduled to start as early as the second quarter of 2011.

Antrim Contracts WilPhoenix to Drill in Greater Fyne Area in UK Waters
Type: Status Update

Mar. 2011 - Antrim Energy has awarded AGR Peak Well Management Limited a contract to provide well project management and drilling services, and provision of the WilPhoenix semisub, for the drilling of two wells within the Greater Fyne Area, in the UK sector of the North Sea. Drilling should take about 50 days, not including testing. A site survey of both wells should start in the next three weeks, and both wells are scheduled for drilling mid-year 2011. The first well is targeting the Jurassic Fulmar formation at a depth of 10,400 feet (3,170 meters) on the West Teal prospect, located on Block 21/24b. The West Teal prospect has a light oil target (37 degrees API) delineated by 3D seismic and a previous discovery well drilled in 1991. The discovery well encountered a gross oil column of up to 140 feet (43 meters) thick in the Fulmar formation but was abandoned after mechanical problems while conducting a cased hole test. The West Teal prospect is structurally up-dip and lies approximately 2 miles (4 kilometers) west of the Teal field, which has produced approximately 55 million barrels of oil to date. The second well is targeting the Eocene Tay formation at a depth of nearly 6,000 feet (1,829 meters) on the Carra prospect, located on Block 21/28b. Carra is a medium gravity target delineated by 3D seismic, on trend and situated 2 miles (4 kilometers) from the West Guillemot field. If successful, a discovery on either of these prospects will add resources to the scheduled development of the Fyne field, located 2 miles (3 kilometers) to the northwest of Carra.

Type: Acreage Acquisition

Oct. 2010 - Premier Oil and Antrim Energy have signed an agreement to jointly explore development options for the Fyne Area located in the UK sector of the North Sea. Under the terms of the agreement, Premier will pay an initial consideration of US $2 million to Antrim, and will have the option to acquire a 39.9% interest in Block 21/28a in return for a payment up to US $50 million, less the initial consideration, towards the pre-development and development costs of the field. Antrim owns a 75% working interest in Block 21/28a, and a 100% working interest in the adjacent Blocks 21/28b, 21/29c, 21/24b and 21/24c that make up the Greater Fyne Area. The agreement also provides Premier the option to participate up to 50% alongside Antrim in a planned drilling program scheduled to start as early as the second quarter of 2011 in the Greater Fyne area. Antrim drilled two wells and three sidetracks in a 2008 appraisal program of the Fyne field. Well 21/28a-10Z was tested, and flowed at rates up to 4,000 bopd. Wells 21/28a-10Z and 21/28a-9Y were cased and are available for use in the development of the Fyne field, the company said.
