Project Description
The Triton FPSO is located on Block 21/30 in the UK sector of the North Sea, about 190 kilometers east of Aberdeen in 295 feet (90 meters) of water. Hess will relinquish operatorship of the Triton FPSO and Dana will serve as the operator.

Triton serves as a central hub for several small, subsea fields developed in the area, including the Guillemot and Bittern fields. All fields are controlled remotely from Triton.

FPSO Details

Moored on the field in 2000 with a design life of 21 years, the vessel measures 800 feet long with a dead weight of 105,000 tons. The FPSO can store 630,000 barrels of oil and will process 105,000 barrels/day of crude oil, using three stages of separation, with a dehydrator and a test separator for well testing.

Wellstream from the surrounding area enters the FPSO via nine flexible risers and two umbilicals. The Triton FPSO provides primary separation facilities through two dedicated trains (one for the Bittern area and one for the Guillemot West area) for the separation of oil, gas and water. Following primary separation and metering, the fluids are commingled and then are subject to secondary separation, oil processing, gas processing and compression through shared facilities.

Produced water handling is provided through two new water treatment trains, one for Bittern and one for Guillemot West. The gas is processed and two gas compressors provide gas for fuel, gas lift and gas export. Water injection services are also provided.

Oil is exported via shuttle tankers; gas is used for fuel on the Triton FPSO and gas lift, with excess volumes exported via a spur line tied into the SEGAL line for transport to St. Fergus.

The average daily production is 60,000 bopd and 70 MMcm/d for Bittern; 28,000 bopd and 50 MMcm/d for Guillemot West; and 4,000 bopd and 10 MMcm/d for Guillemot Northwest.

Guillemot

The Guillemot area consists of the Guillemot West, Guillemot North West, Clapham, Pict and Saxon fields. Dana serves as the operator of the fields in the Guillemot West area.

Guillemot commenced production on April 20, 2000.

Bittern

The Bittern field was developed by six subsea wells, four producers and two water injectors. The wells are tied into two seven-slot manifolds and tied back to the FPSO by two, 10-inch production lines and an 8-inch production/test line.

Production commenced from Bittern in October 2004.
