Region:Africa - West
Country:Nigeria

Project Description
Tom Shot Bank (TSB) was discovered by Shell in 1980. The TSB-1 well instected five gas zones and four oil zones. The well encountered 57 net feet of gas pay and 83 net feet of oil pay.

The TSB Field is located in the Gulf of Guinea adjacent to the coast line of Eastern Nigeria in less than 65 feet of water adjacent to the Cameroon border in OML 14. Geologically, the TSB Field is on the eastern edge of the Tertiary Niger Delta Petroleum System, one of the most prolific hydrocarbon systems in the world (Tuttle, M.L et all, 1999, The Niger Delta Petroleum System: Niger Delta Province, Nigeria, Cameroon, and Equatorial Guinea, Africa; Open File Report 99-50-H). The reservoirs at TSB field are clastic, sandstone and shale
reservoirs of the Akata-Agbada- Benin lithostratigraphic system.

Activities
Status Updates
Mira to Proceed with Tom Shot Bank Development
Type: Development Activity

Mar. 2013 - Mira Resources, operator of the Tom Shot Bank (TSB) discovery in OML14 off Nigeria, announced the decision to proceed with development of the field. Independent estimates of TSB have verified 2P resources of over 22 MMbo with additional upside potential. TSB partners include Mira, AOGSL and Dansaki Petroleum with 48%, 26% and 26% stakes respectively.

Mira to Re-Enter Tom Shot Bank Field offshore Nigeria
Type: Status Update

Sep. 2011 - Mira Resources anticipates that appraisal drilling on the Tom Shot Bank field will occur on or around Oct. 3, 2011. The company will use the Ben Avon jackup to re-enter discovery well TSB No. 1 and perform a wireline logging program. Mira said that once the new logs are acquired and interpreted, a final decision on the zones and intervals to production test will be made. The new logs are instrumental in the decision to investigate the deepest interval in TSB No. 1, the U 9.5, which was not assessed in Mira's Resource Assessment due to the existing logs being inconclusive. In 1980, Shell made the discovery in well TSB No. 1, when it found 425 feet (130 meters) of hydrocarbon pay including 83 net feet (25 meters) of oil and 57 net feet (17 meters) of gas proven pay, plus another possible 111 net feet (34 meters) of oil and 29 net feet (9 meters) of gas pay. The field is located in OML 14 offshore Nigeria.

Tom Shot Bank
Under Development - Mar 2013 to -

Appraisal Drilling - Oct 2011 to Mar 2013

Mira and its fully owned subsidiary Equinox TSB Development (Nigeria) anticipates it will commence Re-entry and Testing Operations at Tom Shot Bank Field in October 2011. Gross contingent resources-contingent subject to re-drilling verification-of 8.7 million barrels of oil have been assigned to this discovery, with prospective resources already show the potential for more than 110 mil.bbl.

Suspended - Feb 1989 to Oct 2011

Appraisal Drilling - 1989 to 1989

TSB #2 drilled in 1989 by Shell ‐ encountered the upper 5 gas zones, but crossed a major fault and missed the underlying oil bearing structure. The well was then plugged, and Shell relinquished the concession.

Discovery (Drilled) - 1980 to 1989

Discovery well TSB #1 drilled in 1980 by Shell tested five gas zones and four oil zones and was temporarily suspended.
