Eni has commenced drilling of well 7220/10-1 on the Salina prospect (formerly Pulk). The main objective of the well is to prove the presence of hydrocarbons in the reservoir.

Eni's Salina Wildcat Hits Gas Pay
Type: New Discovery
Oct. 2012 - Eni announced a new gas condensate discovery in Production License 533 in the Barents Sea. Well 7220/10-1 was drilled by the Scarabeo 8 (UDS semisub)to 7,890 feet. Two condensate columns, netting 300 feet of pay, were encountered in Cretaceous and Jurassic sandstones. No formation test was performed reservoir quality was confirmed through coring, logging and fluid sampling.
