Description
 
Located in the North West Natuna PSC, the Ande Ande Lumut (AAL) oil field is estimated to contain 76 million barrels of recoverable heavy oil. Three exploration and appraisal wells have been drilled in the field.

A Plan of Development for the field was approved by the Indonesian government in late 2011. First oil is expected at the end of 2014 at an initial plateau production rate of 25,000 Bopd.

AAL will be developed with a wellhead platform and an FPSO.

Santos Approved as Operator of Northwest Natuna PSC

AWE Limited's previously announced sale of 50% interest and operatorship of the Northwest Natuna PSC to a subsidiary of Santos Limited is complete after being approved by the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and state regulator SKK Migas. The effective date of the $188 million deal is July 1, 2013. Northwest Natuna PSC contains the 101 million barrel Ande Ande Lumut oil discovery that is in the early stages of development planning. The current proposal includes the construction of a wellhead platform and installation of a permanently moored FPSO.
Santos Acquires Interest in Northwest Natuna PSC

Santos announced its acquisition of a 50% interest in the Northwest Natuna Production Sharing Contract (PSC) from operator AWE. The PSC is located off Indonesia and contains the undeveloped Ande Ande Lumut oil field which has been independently assessed to contain gross 2P oil reserves of roughly 100 million barrels. Currently, the proposed development concept consists of the installation of a wellhead platform and a permanently moored FPSO with oil take-off via shuttle tankers. A final investment decision is expected in 2014. Execution of the acquisition requires Indonesian regulatory approval.
AWE Increases Ande Ande Lumut Estimates

Following an independent review and certification, AWE Limited increased its estimate of recoverable oil for the Ande Ande Lumut (AAL) K Sand development by 33 percent to 101 million barrels. An additional 35 million barrels of gross recoverable oil in the G Sand have also been classified as 2C contingent resources. The added resources have increased AWE's Northwest Natuna PSC 2P reserves by 83 percent to 110 MMboe. AWE is in the process of finalizing preparations for a farm-out agreement of up to 50 percent of AAL. Completion of the farm-out is expected to be announced in 3Q 2013.
AWE Updates AAL Project

AWE announced plans to sell-down a portion of its 100% stake in the Ande Ande Lumut oil field development project in the North West Natuna PSC. The Indonesian government has approved the Plan of Development for the field which will be developed using a wellhead platform along with an FPSO.
