Premier Updates Progress at Pelikan and Naga Fields
Type: Operator Update

Aug. 2013 - Progress continues on the Pelikan and Naga gas projects in Natuna Sea Block A offshore Indonesia. Construction of the Pelikan and Naga wellhead platforms (WHP) is almost complete. Load-out and installation of the units will take place in 3Q 2013. Planning of the development drilling program is in the final stages and a suitable rig has been secured. Drilling will commence at the end of the monsoon season in 1Q 2014 from the Pelikan and then Naga. Production startup at both platforms is expected to take place in the second half of 2014.

Premier Oil Commences Gas Production at Gajah Baru

Oct. 2011 - Premier Oil has commenced gas production from the Gajah Baru field in the Natuna Sea Block A in Indonesia. Premier is the operator of the field and holds a 28.67% interest; the other partners in the field are Kufpec (33.33%), Amerada Hess (23%) and Petronas (15%).

Premier Oil to Bring Gajah Baru Online in 4Q 11

Aug. 2011 - Premier Oil will commence production from its Gajah Baru natural gas field in October 2011. The field is being developed by several subsea wells tied-back to a central processing platform and a wellhead platform connected by a bridge. The wellhead platform was installed in 3Q 2010 and weighs about 900 tons with a jacket weight of about 1,400 tons. Topsides construction for the central processing platform, which weighs 8,200 tonnes, was completed in June 2011, and left Indonesia later that month. The operator is drilling 12 to 14 exploration and appraisal wells using the West Callisto jackup. The Gajah Baru gas field is located on the West Natuna Block A in the West Natuna Sea, Indonesia. Premier is the operator of the field and holds a 28.67% interest; the other partners in the field are Kufpec (33.33%), Amerada Hess (23%) and Petronas (15%).
